Nigerian Afrobeats star Tiwa Savage has spoken about the emotional impact of her private video being leaked online, alleging that the incident stemmed from a betrayal by a former boyfriend.
The award-winning singer said she had trusted her then-partner because they were in a relationship and never imagined he would make their private moments public.
According to Tiwa, she later learned that the video was allegedly shared after her ex-boyfriend made a bet with one of his friends.
“I trusted him because he was my boyfriend at the time, but I later found out he did it because he had placed a bet with his friend,” she said.
The singer described the experience as one of the most painful moments of her life, saying the public exposure of such a deeply personal matter left her emotionally devastated and underscored the importance of trust and privacy in relationships.
